Provider partner terms

Homeowner introductions are permissioned, limited-use data.

Last updated August 29, 2026

1. Scope

These terms describe the minimum rules RepairGauge requires before a service provider may receive a homeowner introduction. Commercial payout, geography, category and pricing terms may be agreed separately.

2. Provider identity and authority

The provider must give RepairGauge accurate legal/trading identity, contact information, service area and the identity of an authorized representative. Where a trade, state or locality requires a license, registration, bond or insurance for the relevant work, the provider is responsible for maintaining it and for supplying reasonable evidence when requested.

3. Specific homeowner approval first

A provider receives homeowner contact details only after RepairGauge records approval of that specific introduction. A general match request is not permission for an unknown provider to contact the homeowner.

4. Permitted use

Introduction data may be used only to respond to the approved homeowner's stated repair project, prepare or arrange a relevant estimate, and manage the resulting relationship. The provider may not sell, rent, trade, enrich, append or disclose the lead to another lead broker, affiliate, marketing network or unrelated third party without a new lawful basis and the homeowner's authorization where required.

5. Calling, texting and marketing

RepairGauge's initial homeowner match-request checkbox does not authorize automated or prerecorded marketing calls or marketing text messages. Providers are independently responsible for the TCPA, FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, National Do Not Call requirements, state telemarketing laws and any other rules that apply to their chosen communication method. If separate consent is legally required, the provider must obtain and retain it before using that channel.

6. Contact conduct

Providers must identify themselves truthfully, avoid misleading affiliation claims, respect a homeowner's request to stop contact, and avoid pressure or deceptive urgency. A provider may not imply that RepairGauge guarantees the provider, its price or its work.

7. Data security and minimization

Providers must restrict access to personnel who need the lead for the approved project, use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, avoid copying the data into unrelated marketing systems, and retain it only as long as reasonably necessary for the project, legal obligations or dispute handling.

8. Security incidents

If introduction data is accessed, disclosed, lost or used without authorization, the provider must promptly notify RepairGauge and cooperate with legally required investigation, mitigation and notices.

9. No onward sale

RepairGauge introductions are not bulk marketing lists. Onward resale or redistribution is prohibited unless RepairGauge and the homeowner have expressly authorized the specific disclosure and it is lawful.

10. Independent provider

The provider is an independent business, not RepairGauge's employee, agent or subcontractor for the repair work. The provider is solely responsible for quotes, contracts, licensing, insurance, taxes, scheduling, permits, workmanship, warranties, claims and customer communications.

11. Commercial independence

Paying RepairGauge for an approved introduction does not buy a favorable editorial statement, higher calculator range, altered cost data or guaranteed placement over a more relevant provider.

12. Suspension and termination

RepairGauge may stop introductions immediately for suspected unlawful contact, resale, deceptive conduct, security failures, material complaints, false business information or violation of these terms.

13. Records and cooperation

Where reasonably necessary to investigate a complaint or demonstrate compliance, the provider must preserve and provide relevant consent/contact records, call-source information and the identity of personnel or systems that used the introduction, subject to applicable law.

14. No lead guarantee

RepairGauge does not guarantee lead volume, homeowner response, project value, conversion, collectability or revenue. A homeowner remains free to decline contact or hire someone else.

15. Governing law

Provider relationships with RepairGauge are governed by the separately agreed commercial terms and, where not otherwise agreed, German law to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
