Anchor count is part of the engineering scope
A bowing basement wall may need several anchors or braces spaced along the affected section. Compare how many units each contractor proposes and why, rather than treating every wall-stabilization quote as equivalent.
Ask what happens to the wall after stabilization
A quote should distinguish stabilization from any attempt to straighten the wall. It should also state whether excavation, interior framing removal, patching, drainage corrections or finish restoration are included.
When an engineer is worth considering
