Slab jacking and concrete leveling cost in 2026

Concrete leveling is often priced by the area being lifted, but access, void size, slab condition and the leveling material can change the installed rate. Start with measured square footage instead of a generic project average.

2026 cost reference

Concrete lifting / slab jacking$3–$20 / sq ft
100 sq ft comparison$300–$2,000
250 sq ft comparison$750–$5,000
500 sq ft comparison$1,500–$10,000

Measure the slab area before comparing totals

A sidewalk panel, garage floor and large interior slab can all be called concrete leveling while representing very different quantities. Ask the contractor to state the square footage or panels included.

The unit rate does not describe every hidden condition

Void depth, material volume, drilling pattern, access and damaged concrete can change the job. A leveling quote should explain the lifting method and what happens if the slab cannot be brought to the intended elevation.

Leveling is not the same as structural underpinning

Lifting a settled concrete slab addresses the slab itself. Piers or other underpinning methods support a structural foundation. If a proposal mixes both scopes, compare each line item separately.
