Helical pier cost in 2026

Helical piers are typically quoted per installed pier, but shaft size, installation depth, torque requirements and structural load can materially change the installed price.

2026 cost reference

Per installed helical pier$1,400–$4,000
4-pier comparison$5,600–$16,000
8-pier comparison$11,200–$32,000
12-pier comparison$16,800–$48,000

Why published ranges disagree

Current 2026 sources publish overlapping, but not identical, ranges for standard residential helical-pier work. RepairGauge uses a broader planning range that reflects multiple current sources instead of choosing the narrowest number.

What changes the rate

Pier depth, shaft configuration, torque target, site access and the load being supported can all change installed cost. A deck pier is not comparable to underpinning a settling house.

What to compare in bids

Compare pier count, shaft/system specification, installation criteria, engineering, bracket work, lift goals and warranty terms—not only the dollars per pier.
